Why Ombient?

Natural Omnidirectional Sound

We create sound that feels natural to the human hearing. Most real-world sound sources radiate to all directions — which is also what Ombient panel speaker does. Our panels sound the same anywhere in the space thanks to their omnidirectional and highly diffusive audio. A sound made for immersive background music and life-like speech.

High-tech Metamaterial Acoustics

“Beyond matter” captures well the essence of metamaterials. We use hard engineering materials to 3D-print acoustic structures to absorb noise instead of using soft porous materials. Selective micro-perforations are also used to fine-tune the sound output.

Virtual Subwoofer
Array

Ombient delivers deep and accurate low frequencies by distributing the bass workload to the whole system. Virtual Subwoofer Array radiates bass as planar soundwaves: no more corner hotspots and midfloor dead-zones. Equally enjoyable sound for all customers, in every seat in the room. We use 50 - 100 times more surface area to produce bass than normal speaker systems. A single subwoofer has to work hard while Ombient panels hardly even twitch.
